Located in the village of Bué, a couple of miles from Sancerre, our family estate has been passed down through five generations.
The vineyard extence over 24 hectares across the Sancerre and Menetou-Salon apppellations.
80 % of the vines are planted with the Sauvignon grape variety and 20 % with the Pinot Noir variety.
The estate carries out plot-based selection, all within the 3 specific Sancerre terroirs, where the grapes from each one go through separate wine-making procedures.
Each terroir expresses a different character that will make a unique cuvée wine in its own right, such as "Chêne Marchand" or "Désert du petit Bannon" for white wine and "Sur le Clou" for red wine.
We practise sustainable agriculture on our estate. We keep a close eye on all plots where each intervention is considered necessary.
The soil is tilled throughout the vineyard to bring out the very best characteristics of the terroir.
What really sets Domaine Gérard Milletapart is our in-depth knowledge of the terrois.
